At Ardentinny Centre, we believe that every child in the country should have the opportunity to develop their full potential through outdoor education.
That’s why we have been delivering excellent, safe, accessible and affordable outdoor courses on a not-for-profit basis where all extra money goes into improving our services.
WHO ARE WE?
The short version? We are an Outdoor Education Centre, situated in the remote village of Ardentinny, where your class or group can experience a wide range of challenging, educational and exciting outdoor activities. We see the great outdoors as a place to inspire and motivate; a context for exploring and developing personality and relationships. And we want to help our visitors make the most of their stay.
Different from most outdoor centres, we are a registered charity. That means that we work in order to give every child the possibility to enjoy the benefits of outdoor education. We do not work for profit, our only motive is to help build young people’s confidence and help them realise their potential.
We are a team of experienced professionals, with an unparalleled track record of working in the outdoors with young people and adults, which means we can guarantee that you will get an excellent, exciting and safe experience out of your stay with us.
But maybe most importantly, we love what we do, and we will do everything we can to transmit our passion and pride of the great outdoors to our visitors!

We, both children and staff had a fantastic week. All children attempted everything; staff worked hard to keep them fully engaged and motivated. The safety of all was paramount and children fully briefed including equipment checks. Impressed with how children took turns to tidy up and clear up. They were encouraged and expected to take full responsibility for their belongings and to work together / help each other. A really positive experience – thank you!
Our kids feel well looked after and have a great time here each year. Your staff take time to get to know the kids which is essential in providing an environment for them to come out of their comfort zones and develop their skills. Communication between all staff and leaders is excellent and the needs of the children are prioritised. A very friendly, challenging and fun experience is always guaranteed for our children.
Thank you for another wonderful week at Ardentinny. As always, instructors were knowledgeable, friendly and so supportive. They got to know our children’s individual needs (and teachers) very quickly and everyone was challenged through fun, exciting activities. Food was amazing and plentiful.
